Nga rangatira, tēnā korua,Ki a korua nga rangatira e, tena korua o nga mahi. He mihi mahana, Ka nui te hari, ka nui te koa mo o koutou kaha mo to koutou tautoko o te Rōpū Wātene Maori.I congratulate both yourself and Zac for your excellent service to our Maori community. There have been many successes which is contributable directly to the huge amount of energy you and Zac have invested into our people’s lives. The training you have delivered to the Maori wardens can certainly testify to that.
I am writing to acknowledge the successful CIM’s training provided for the Maori Wardens. Feedback from the wardens and community at large has been very positive.
Wardens were able to align newly acquired skills for their involvement with the major Tuia250 event held in Gisborne October 3rd- 10th. Wardens also assisted in a land search and rescue the following week.
Wardens fulfilled their duties with confidence having gained insights into the vulnerabilities and gaps of good planning. Wātene’s composure in working as a team and Understanding how to respond to an emergency has led to positive changes in behaviour and reaffirmed solid relationships with key agencies.
We are grateful that your exceptional training has been inspiring to both young and old wardens alike. We look forward to having more training with Manaaki Tangata consultants.
